1. Remember those chairs that needed a makeover?

Well, after a few meetings with Guy from Waveline Upholstery I chose some fabrics and here they are!

First we have pink check lady. The choice for this fabric was inspired by a recent trip to Edinburgh where I fell in love with some of the gorgeous Harris Tweed fabrics. This isn’t Harris but I loved the vibrant pink and knew it would be perfect in my second bedroom.

Then there’s my Bobbin chair. He was an easy job for Guy I think as the seat just literally pops out. I chose a pale blue wool for this one as it’s fits with my colour scheme for my bedroom. It’s a lovely feel to this fabric too.

Finally, and my favourite, is this gorgeous yellow geometric design. Guy popped over specially to show me a swatch of this fabric. It was such a good choice. I’m going kind of Mid Century Modern in the living in room and this fabric really fits the bill – it makes me think of the patterned carpet in The Shining! Love it!

All in all, I have really enjoyed my upholstery experience and would definitely recommend it and of course, if you’re local I’d recommend Guy at http://www.waveline-upholstery.co.uk . I’ve inspected every joint and seam and it really is a very professional job. I’ve taken some quite inexpensive furniture and turned it into real vintage gold that will add interest to my home for years to come. I honestly couldn’t be happier! Although I’m worried that I now have another fixation – I’ll keep buying vintage chairs imagining how great they’ll be once Guy has whisked them away and worked his magic on them!

It is with a fabric obsession I say:
It’s only vintage but I like it!
